COMMUNITY FUNDED WORKSPACE MEMBERSHIPS
Part of our mission is to create a more just and equitable community of entrepreneurs and business leaders. In service of this ambition, we built Community Funded Memberships into The Coven as part of our business model from day one. For every five active memberships, we offer a fully-paid Grow membership to a person who has applied for access to our workspaces at Eat Street, St. Paul, St. Louis Park, Eau Claire, or Northeast.

Applications are open for a limited time period each year. This year’s open application period is from June 1 - July 31, 2026. Our team reviews submissions and will notify applicants on the status of their application by August 17th, 2026.

We prioritize applicants from underserved communities with limited financial resources who will benefit from access to our space and community. Those who receive a Community Funded Membership have unlimited access to The Coven location of their choice, and The Coven Digital Community from October 2026 through September 2027.

All Community Funded Memberships begin October 1st, 2026 and run through September 30, 2027. We are unable to adjust dates for these memberships at this time.
Recipients will be notified next summer when their membership is coming to an end, and given the option to re-apply, or explore our other membership options. -
Community Funded Memberships to our physical locations are at the Grow level, which provides unlimited day passes to our space and access to our digital community. We also offer reduced fee memberships at both the Build and Grow level.

Those interested in a reduced fee membership may select this as part of the application process. We have options for Build and Grow memberships at a reduced fee. The commitment for this option is a full 12 months from the date awarded.

Topics in the series include legal and financial foundations, recognizing and avoiding burnout, and creating a business model.
